Ol Pejeta Conservancy – is the closest place from Nairobi to see “The Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo). It is also the Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa, boasting a population of 78 black rhino! Its other wildlife includes an exciting catalog of; white rhino, giraffe, zebra, eland, oryx, waterbuck, Grant’s gazelle, Thompson’s gazelle, cheetah, silver-backed jackal, hartebeest, and baboon. The conservancy also boasts several hundred bird species. Ol Pejeta Conservancy has the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya.
Lion Tracking – Visitors are offered a unique opportunity to spend a morning with Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s predator research team. Visitors can join a dedicated team that has hands-on experience with a tracking device to get close up to these amazing creatures.

Day 1 Nairobi - Nanyuki
This morning we depart Nairobi and proceed north, driving through lush tea and coffee estates to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact Sweetwaters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Moreover, the camp has its own private waterhole and salt lick so we’ll be guaranteed unprecedented close encounters. Whether its day or night game drives, camel trekking, lion tracking, al fresco dining or relaxing by pool, Sweetwaters is bound to delight.

Day 2 Ol Pejeta
We will have two extensive game drives exploring the exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary. As our camp overlooks one of the best waterholes’s in the area, this will give us a good view of the wild life such as elephants, giraffes and myriad plains game among others. Day 3 Drive back to Nairobi
We will set off for an early morning game drive at Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy to take in the amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta. After breakfast, we shall head back to Nairobi Meal plan: Breakfast & Lunch
